Hot Stone Massage

Join Michael Vance as he takes you on a journey through the exciting world of Hot Stone Massage! All of the major spas around the country are doing Hot Stone, and now you can include it in your practice as well.
In this course you will learn:
Everything needed to do a complete Hot Stone Massage--Michael has also included the use of the stones on the Ayurvedic Marma Point, Oriental Acupressure Points & Meridians
How doing stone massage saves you as a therapist by putting less stress on joints and muscles
Proper draping
Contraindications
How to operate the heating units and stone temperature control
The various types of stones, and how to select them
Cleaning and maintenance of stones
Each Participant will receive a set of stones to take home, so you can begin your hot stone massage practice immediately!
T. Michael Vance has been a licensed cosmetologist since 1982 when he went to work with the Skin Care Associates of Orange County, CA. There, he learned facial techniques and how to mix skin care products from scratch in the laboratory. Since then, he has trained with Dermologica, SkinCeuticals, Babor, B. Kamin, Phytomere, TARA, and the Aromatherapy Associates of London. He also worked as an esthetician and massage therapist for 1.5 years at the Lake Austin Spa Resort doing all facial and spa services offered.
Course fee is $150 6 CEUs
Payment Plan: $100 at registration; $50 one month before class starts
