About Us



A New Beginning School of Massage has provided quality training in a supportive atmosphere since 1994. Our teaching staff has many years of experience and are well known in the Austin massage community. We limit our class size to only 19 students per class. The small classes enable our staff to provide personalized instruction and to help each student individually as needed.



A New Beginning is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). ACCSCT is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency.



Our school's graduates enjoy a pass rate of 94% (one of the highest in the state) on the Texas Massage Therapy State Board Examination - compared to a statewide average pass rate of 79%.*

of Massage, you will enjoy the following:



The internship portion of the program is designed so that students can most often complete the internship in 6 weeks or less. The student is allowed to choose the dates and times they come to the school for client appointments, and appointment times are conveniently offered seven days a week. Internship clients enjoy total privacy while dressing and undressing.

All tables are privacy-curtained for dressing and undressing.

High quality Oakworks massage therapy tables are provided at the school throughout the training. The school offers a special discount if the student purchases a massage therapy table through the school. Students are not required to purchase a massage therapy table for the Program. Rental tables are available at only $8 per day if a student wishes to take a table home and practice techniques on a friend.

A New Beginning School of Massage offers a variety of financing options to fit each student's individual needs and budget.

The school is surrounded by trees, fountains, and walking trails. Students enjoy the view during classes.

A New Beginning has a home-like atmosphere, and students feel relaxed in our creative setting.

*Based on Texas Department of State Health Services' statistics during the time period of September 2004 to June 2005, 3,794 people took the State Board Examination; a total of 3,015 passed the exam (79%). Of the 61 students graduating during the same time period from A New Beginning School of Massage, 57 students passed the State Board Examination (94%).
