Lymphatic Clearing Massage

Taught by Kathy Kraft, MT

Lymphatic clearing offers gentle and effective techniques to stimulate the movement of lymph through the lymph system.

It is easy for the therapist to apply because it uses a very gentle pressure. For the same reason, it can be safely used on ill, injured or elderly clients. It offers benefits for:

  • Edema/general achiness and fatigue
  • Allergies (hay fever, sinusitis, eye puffiness)
  • Burns, scars, stretch marks (pregnancy)
  • Eczema, psoriasis and other dermatological conditions
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Migraine headaches
  • Sprains/strains
  • Varicose veins
  • Whiplash
  • Before and after sporting events and surgeries

In this course, you will learn the basic structure and function of the body's fascinating lymphatic system. You will practice mapping of lymph flow and learn techniques that can be used with clients who possess an intact and functional lymphatic system.

Lymphatic clearing can be used in combination with other modalities in a session.
